The Big Idea

In the first group session we come together to learn, support each other and gather to tools needed for the self-guided work.

Part 2 - Self Guided

Research and Check-in

The self-guided work is a deep-dive into the subject combined with a mid-way mentoring session to check-in and guide as needed.

Part 3 - Second Group Session

Crafting the Solution

In the second group session we bring the group back together to share our results, discuss insights and craft your custom solution.

Not Your Average Webinar...

SilverSTART workshops are a little different from your typical online webinar workshop. First off, we begin understanding that you come to the table with expertise. Even if it’s not directly related to the business you want to start, that expertise puts you way ahead of the game compared to younger entrepreneurs. Secondly, our workshops are all designed to blend the dynamic energy of a small group with tightly focused one-on-one mentoring. Each workshop will give you the tools you need to succeed. They are all delivered online and each come in three parts:

  1. Part 1  First Group Session The Big Idea – here we will work together to get to know the problem, give you a framework for finding the answer, and  set you up with some homework for the second group session. This session is 2 hours.
  2. Part 2 – Reseach and Check-in – the sesond part is self-guided research and a one-on-one mentoring session with one of us. The idea is to let you work own your won with the tools your learned in part 1 and then to have a session midway to see how you are progressing and identify any roadblocks so that we can be sure you are ready for the second workshop.
  3. Part 3 Second Group Session – Crafting the Solution – here we come together again with the group to present what you’ve discovered and craft a plan for your next steps so that you can take action in your business.

All of our workshops are delivered by experienced entrepreurs, who, like you, are over 50. They are engaging, fun, and geared for success.

Because we want to deliver the best experience possible and make sure you don’t wind up with direct competitors in your group, that everyone in the group is at about the same stage in their process as well as similar business focus, all of our workshops are highly curated sessions, with hand-picked groups.

To be able to deliver this, we ask that when you register to take the workshop, you both provide us with some information about your business and where you are at as well as pay 10% deposit. With that we’ll put togther a group and custom content based on the group’s needs. (Note: if we can’t place you in a group we will refund your deposit.)

Please note: that we will do our best to place everyone who registers in a workshop group. If we can’t find the right group for you, we will try to suggest other options. Also, if you are interested in a workshop but the dates don’t work for you, or you are not quite sure, please fill out the form at the bottom of the page. We will contact you to see what we can do.

Step-by-step:

  1. Pick a workshop and click the “Register Now” link.
  2. FIll out the form and let us know a little bit about where you’re at right now.
  3. Pay your deposit.

It has been pretty obvious for a long time that you can’t run a business these days without a solid tech infrastructure. COVID-19 simply magnified that point for us. For Silver Starters, especially if you’ve worked in an environment with IT support for a long time, figuring out the tech landscape, what you need, how to connect all the dots and get the most out of it is a steep hill to climb. Never fear, Tame Your Tech is here!

In this informative workshop we’ll help you get a handle on what you need, help you plot a reliable course in tech needs, and show the way to get there.

In the first workshop session we’ll get grounded in the tech, where it’s at, where it’s headed, and what you need to pay attention to. We’ll explore options for integration and customization versus off-the-shelf solutions. Based on each type we’ll set you up with the tools you need to access your tech needs. Part way through your assessment, we’ll have a one-on-one session with you to help guide your progress. Finally in the last session, we’ll have a second group session to finalize your tech plan and guide you to your next steps.
